1. Information We Collect
Because there is no mandatory sign-up, registration, or login system in Ears to Hear, we do not collect your personal name, email address, physical address, phone number, or any government identifiers.
The application may collect limited, non-identifiable technical data including:
- Basic device information: Operating system version, device model, and system language settings to deliver proper audio rendering.
- Anonymous usage metrics: Aggregate statistics on which scripture teachings are played to help the Seminary curate future study programs.
- Crash and diagnostic reports: Crash stack traces and performance logs to identify technical glitches and resolve bugs rapidly.
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Your personal devotional activities remain exclusively on your phone or tablet. All of the following information is saved locally via private app storage:
- Downloaded offline chapter and verse audio files.
- Bookmarked scripture passages and personal study favorites.
- Listening history, timestamps, and verse progress markers.
- Custom playback preferences (listening speeds, auto-play next verse).
3. How We Use Information
Any anonymous diagnostic or aggregate usage data collected is used solely to maintain app stability, evaluate audio delivery quality, and understand which biblical expositions are most beneficial to our community.
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks. Ears to Hear is 100% ad-free and funded by ministerial scholarship.
4. Third-Party Services
We may utilize limited, privacy-focused third-party developer frameworks strictly for anonymous crash reporting and operating system compatibility diagnostics.
These infrastructure service providers do not receive any personally identifiable information and are strictly prohibited from using diagnostic telemetries for commercial tracking.
5. Children's Privacy
Ears to Hear is designed for a general audience seeking scripture exposition. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect app updates, operating system requirements, or legal refinements. Continued use of the app after revisions are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
